Putting Juoksengi on the Map

Flickr now has a really nice feature called Places. If you have any photos from (or near) Juoksengi please upload them to Flickr and place them on the map. Here is the page for Juoksengi on Flickr Places

Yeah! I finally finished building the new website. Well, enough of it to actually use it and replace the old one. I still have several photo sets to publish, and need to post some entries in the journals, but the core site is now up and running.

Status Update

This site was originally created in 2002 to share our experiences in Sweden with our family and friends in the US via a journal, photos, and videos. A lot has changed since then. Personal blogs have become the new standard for writing online journals. Flickr has become the best and easiest way to share photos, and YouTube has taken over the video hosting arena.

So… it is time to make some changes. In the coming months I will be rebuilding Taavo.com to utilize some of the new web technologies. I have already begun posting our photos on Flickr, and a few videos on YouTube. The next step is to replace the old Taavo.com pages with a snazzy new, easy to update blog software, so keeping a journal will be as easy as writing an email.
