The Northern Lights are something you really need to see to believe. I've done my best to capture them in these photos.

Kukkolaforsen is a traditional fishing community where villagers fish whitefish. The fishing museum is situated in the midst of a cultural milieu that includes a sawmill, fishing sheds and old domestic buildings.
And now my description...
Kukkolaforsen is a cool fishing museum and a nice place to eat, right along the Torne River where the water is very shallow (forsen = rapids). Oh, and they fish there too.
We stopped here while driving home from Ikea. It was nice to look at the old fishing village buildings. The old saw mill was really cool.

Jukkasjärvi is a small village in Northern Lapland, Sweden that builds an entire hotel out of ice every winter! It’s called the Ice Hotel.
It is at a beautiful location along the Torne River, about 200 kilometers north of the Arctic Circle. We made several stops at other interesting places, like the worlds largest wool mitten, and a huge sundial, and a snowed in paddle boat. It was a 12 hour day, but well worth the drive.
